1. Before starting the extruder each time, check whether there are any foreign objects inside the barrel, hopper, and its interior, check whether the bolts in various parts are loose, whether the safety cover is secure, and whether the positions of all buttons and switches are correct. Then add sufficient lubricating oil to all lubrication points and ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the machine equipment.

  2. When planning to start, inform the staff around the machinery and equipment.

  3. Use the motor to drive the screw at low speed, and check whether the pointer of the main motor's working ammeter swings normally. If there is abnormal noise during the operation of the machine or the screw does not rotate smoothly, the machine should be stopped immediately, and relevant personnel should be contacted for inspection and repair.

  4. The screw should not run empty during air testing for more than 30 minutes. After confirming that there are no issues, assemble the molds for producing the product. Use connecting bolts to assemble the molds, and before use, apply a layer of molybdenum disulfide or silicone oil to facilitate disassembly.

  5. Before the initial stage of material feeding production, the screw should operate at an ultra-low speed, and the feeding should be small and even. Constantly check whether the pointer of the motor ammeter monitoring the screw rotation shows any abnormal fluctuations.

  6. After the extruder is put into normal production work, the operator should frequently check the temperature changes of the bearing parts. When checking the temperature of the motor and each bearing part, use the back of your fingers to gently touch the inspection areas. During machine operation, no rotating parts should be touched by hand.

  7. When disassembling or assembling the screw and mold, do not strike the parts directly with a heavy hammer; if necessary, place a hardwood block underneath before striking to disassemble or assemble.

  8. When cleaning residual material from the screw, barrel, and mold, bamboo or copper knives and brushes must be used. Steel tools must not be used to scrape off residual material, nor should parts be burned with fire.

  9. When dealing with extruder malfunctions, the extruder cannot start rotating. When the extruder screw is rotating or adjusting the mold, the operator should not face the extruder barrel opening to prevent accidents.

  10. Operators must not leave their posts while the extruder is in operation. If it is necessary to leave, the extruder should be stopped.

  11. After parking, disassemble the screw rod. After cleaning up the residual material, apply a layer of anti-rust oil. If it is not going to be used temporarily, it should be wrapped and hung vertically in a dry and ventilated place.

  12. Extruders and molding dies that are not used for a long time should be coated with anti-rust oil and all inlets and outlets should be sealed to prevent foreign objects from entering.
